Candy Cane Tulip

On my walk I saw this Tulip in my next door neighbor's yard; I think it looks like Christmas or Valentine's Day. It is very pretty. There were several of these tulips.....see extra. Don't you like the way the colors swirl around that center beauty?  Yes, there are teeny tiny bugs (aphids?) in there.....see extra closeup. 

Today was rainy in the morning, then mostly cloudy; I am not sure if the sun showed itself at all. I was busy inside most of the day.....except for that walk. I have so much to do at home, I am definitely not bored. I feel sad for someone in an apartment with no garden to tend.....especially a very organized person with nothing that needs to be sorted, discarded, thrown out, etc......
