Day 36 Goodbye blue skies

Saturday so no work for me today! The morning was spent on the exercise bike, hanging out washing and cleaning the bathroom. In the afternoon I cut back part of the side garden so that Dan could do the last panel, went shopping, went for a long walk with Chris to the Quarry, returning via Port Hill for a change, put the Sainsbury's delivery away, made tea and then finally watched some more of my latest binge watch on Netflix (Anne with an E) while doing a bit more knitting. It felt like a good day and the last of the beautiful blue skies for a while according to the forecast. We've been so lucky though and the weather has definitely lifted our spirits over the last few weeks in lockdown. Walking to the Quarry also does this for me. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place and is becoming my favourite place to go.
The news was very sad today. Deaths have risen back into the 800s again and total official deaths in the UK have now exceeded 20,000 and over 200,000 worldwide. We're the 5th country in the world to have reached that figure.
More hopeful news is that the government are planning on meeting up with sports bodies to try and get sports events back up and running in some format.
