Old Brick

An old brick from the now defunct Cannerton Brickworks at Bonnybridge. If you're interested in the manufacture of bricks in the 20th century you can read more here.

Out fairly early this morning and we had another good walk at Borrowmeadow. Apart from this bit of old brick half buried in the ground we saw lots of beautiful cowslips, some may blossom coming out, a buzzard and a hawk overhead, cormorants on the river, plenty of evidence of deer, a good few butterflies and we heard the skylarks singing high above us. We saw hardly any people. It's another lovely sunny day though breezy again. This excellent spell of weather is coming to an end next week so we must make the most of it.

Family catching up on and off since we got back and more to come. Much discussion of the restrictions and how they are affecting us all, when and how they might be eased and so on. No conclusions reached of course.

Hope your Sunday is enjoyable.
