Mole Rescue

The day has turned out much better than forecast so pottered around at home until it was time for a walk.
Jorgie didn't go so far this morning so I took her along with me for some company.
This little chap was just lying in the lane as we passed. At first I thought it must be a baby but Google informs me that they grow to between 4.5 inches and 6.25 inches.
I couldn't see that there was anything wrong with it so, after a few photos, put it in some long grass well away from the lane. Amazingly, Jorgie was blissfully unaware of the wildlife experience.
