Onwards and upwards....

1964. Graffiti Artist

This guy is called Ian, he told me he was 82 years old and he is responsible for a number of graffiti art works around the city.  He isn’t popular with the council who have complained about him adding his graffiti art to various otherwise blank sites.  Here he has permission to add to a building site and is slowly filling up all of the boards used to screen the site.  His art seems simple and not intrusive but I can see that some people may feel that adding stuff to blank sites without permission could be an issue.  This one depicting a thank you to NHS staff is on a board and when I met him this morning he was adding another board rather than painting directly on to the screening boards.

Our First Minister has announced just now that we can if we feel it is appropriate wear face masks when in areas where social distancing is more challenging, in supermarkets for example.  So from tomorrow we will take masks with us to the supermarket and putting them on just to wear inside the shop.  We do not need to wear them when we are exercising as we rarely meet anyone when out and about.  She is very clear about why they have now said this and it’s not mandatory, just a suggestion but apparently there is now evidence albeit limited that masks might be useful.

I am really glad we bought ours when we did and they are reusable so we can wash them after every wear.
