Muffins! (Day 44)

Indoor activities today, though I did go out round the block on two occasions with Archie. But Elizabeth took him out for a bonus walk, which was great, as the blue skies have disappeared and the wind chill increased. So, a day indoors beckoned, which was fine.

We both exercised for much of the morning - the ‘gym’ is getting a good use. I did my bike, and then a few video lessons, many based on a chair, but also the arm ones while holding (wee) weights - they’re a killer! I also did my coffee table exercises.

JR decided to make blueberry muffins. Yay! And I made the last lot of dumplings. After lunch of dumplings as an entree then coffee and muffins (I had three four), we had a sofa each, pumped the heating up, and settled down to listen to our respective audiobooks for an hour or so. A couple of hours later, Elizabeth was tapping on the window! We had both been sound asleep.

I did have a phone call from our travel agent (she’s working from home), and we’ve agreed to accept a voucher for the deposit we’ve paid, probably to be used for the same holiday next year. We both hoped everything would be back to relative ‘normality’ by then, but really, it doesn’t bear thinking about if it isn’t.

Archie supervises the exercises, and sometimes he even likes to help (Extra).

News: Boris and his partner have had a baby boy!

They’ve announced new totals to include those who died not just in hospital, but in care homes and at home: up by 3,811 to 26,097, but estimates suggest the true number is in excess of 40,000. Shocking!
