Diary of an Edinburgher

Pub lunch!

Still bitterly cold, but the sun did make an appearance. In fact, by the afternoon, out of the wind, it was quite pleasant.

JR did not go to the gym today, but instead went to the supermarket. I did my rather lackadaisical yoga.
Breathe right down through your feet...
You should feel this in your obliques’ (if I knew where they were...)

We then went out for a late lunch. No way were we sitting outside, though! We had a typical pub lunch, first for many many months. Fish’n’chips for JR (delicious) and chicken and leek pie with chips (instead of mashed spuds) for me (equally delicious). (Extra)

Archie was actually very good - he just lay down and accepted his fate. He’s had four months of not being dragged into pubs with us. I think he really enjoyed lockdown, but has realised things have changed.

He had a big run around over the Links on the way home until we got too cold. We called in on Christine, who had her nephew’s two dogs with her for the day. Archie is quite wary of the wee one, Quine. (Extra 2)

The new (days old) diet may suffer now that the eateries are open, and there are so many new ones, all needing trying out.
