Red Squirrel

Sorry it's another Red Squirrel!   This shot is however for me.  Out of all the shots I have taken of the squirrels I have never got a shot which clearly shows what they are eating and how.

This one was at on the bird table nibbling, so I carefully opened the door and I could see what and how.  I have always assumed that with the hazelnuts they split the nut and take out the kernel.  As I watched it split the nut and then began to take pieces of the kernel rather than take the whole kernel in one go.
