Red Squirrel

Another day which needs recording.   It is very rare for us to see two squirrels at the same time.  There may be more visit daily but apart from the odd individual, like the lactating female, we can't tell them apart.

Today Clickychick spotted a squirrel working its way through the crabbe apple tree above the feeder.  Unexpectedly it continued on to the hedge and along the garden.  At the same time another squirrel was entering the garden via the same route through the crabbe apple.

The blip is one of them on top of the bird table preparing to fling itself across the gap on to the feeders.  Their ability to leap the gap and land often on a vertical metal pole without slipping and falling.
