Common Enchantments

This is the table that Jerry made from the old sewing machine cabinet. It works perfectly under the window and will hold the many plants that I will be bringing back inside this winter.  Usually I have these plants in this window and the dining room window and the kitchen window but maybe I won't have to spread them around this time.     He done good!

I also have the other cabinet that the Singer sewing machine was in and will probably make the same kind of table out of it.   I think I could put it  upstairs in the bedroom for some green plants since it would be at the same window.    Maybe!!

We have had a really strange birding day here.  A titmouse began banging and fluttering at the living room window as soon as it got light outside and has continued all day.  I use this window to take photos outside so it had no screen over it.  I put the screen back on hoping it would stop whatever he was seeing.  Nope!   He just hung on the screen and pecked at the window.     I finally pulled the sheer curtains across the window so that he could not see inside at all and it seems to be working.  We had our first woodpecker at the suet feeder today that I could actually try to photograph.    On the front porch, a wren is pecking at the old rug I have out there apparently getting lint to build a nest.   Next time I sweep up the dog hair I will take it outside and set it on the railing!!
I love nature!!

Still looking at the Tiny Tuesday entries!    Blippers have the most interesting junk collections!

Our state parks open tomorrow but with many restrictions.

I did read that the school district here will have a graduation ceremony on June 1 at their football stadium.  Each student will only have two tickets for parents or whoever.  These people will sit six feet apart on the bleachers and then will be escorted out in well distanced groups.   The students will be set apart and since they already walked on stage by themselves this works out okay.  Interesting idea!   This is a small school.  The other high schools in the area have many more students.  I have not heard what the plan is for them.   Still a month away so it may all still work out!

Be well, Blippers!
