Masks and Gowns

Rooftop view from our window, taken just after clapping for the NHS and other key workers this evening. Silently fuming as I clapped - it shows our appreciation, but it's no substitute for the proper PPE so they can do their jobs more safely. So far, over 100 NHS staff and key workers have died of the virus, and more will die...

After that, went in to the kitchen to tackle the washing up, and persuaded the lady who lives on the shelf (aka Alexa) to play last night's Radio 2 Folk Programme. Was delighted to hear Ralph McTell's new song - 'Masks and Gowns', written in recognition of the frontline workers. He's also started a petition to permanently dedicate the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square to the front line workers who have given their lives.
