In The Eye

Dawn to dusk rain and wind. Not to be totally put off, I set up my tripod in the shelter of the open garage door and photographed the spring flowers in the bed opposite. They were being flattened by a very strong wind, with gusts over 30mph. Mostly the shots were blurry with the occasional sharp one when the wind subsided.

Although I quite liked the images that showed movement and illustrated the conditions, I wanted to have some indication of the flowers. Then I remembered a tutorial on waterfalls and I took one shot blurry at normal iso and another sharp using high iso. I blended the two in PS.

I like the idea of it being calm in the eye of a storm, chaos reigning all around.
