Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Out of my Neighborhood

It was time to look at something else.   The UW arboretum is not far  (maybe 3 miles) but we actually got in the car to get closer before having a lovely warm walk… Of course we’re never early so there were too many people….but nothing like it would be normally.    Wanted the azaleas and rhody color but I so love this (YELLOW ) Golden English Oak that it had to be in  the blip.  We missed having Fiona as last spring we would have been going from bench to bench with our drawing pads. See here: this very bench April 30, 2019 on my 9th blipversary.  (yes I added the 9 dogs and marker last year, but you can appreciate the same bench and trees… another reason for today’s choice of blip  a year and 1 day apart))

Some of the interior paths were pretty empty ..extra :thru the rhododendron glen with those amazing huge specimens  ( I like the trunks almost more than the flowers)   and the only bench of the many in the park  that had anyone sitting on it… (H… as he was waiting for me!)   Hardly any masks on anyone.  Not everyone 6 ft apart.   Not all the azaleas out…we ‘ll go again…  2nd extra...signs all over.
