Rare bird

Our lovely neighbour is seventy today and we couldn't resist doing something different for him as he couldn't celebrate in the way that he and his wife usually would. N and I knew that he was going out for his exercise this morning so we sneaked into his garden and left a few things to make him chuckle. He is a keen bird watcher so we captured this "Big Brown Balloon-tailed Birthday Bird" and released it in his garden. He was delighted!

It has been a lovely day here, although the wind is still slightly cool. I had another zoom call, this time with family to celebrate another birthday and it was lovely to see them all (cousins of various generations) from Bulgaria to Eire, encompassing Berkshire, Edinburgh, Perth, Aberdeen and Mull. Quite a mix!
