A Monkey's Tale

A Study in Cherry/ A Scandal in Bakewell

What possible mystery could unite three of the most illustrious & inimitable criminal sleuths of our modern (fictional) era?

Tucked away from the world, on a busy West Sussex road, Monkey's Tree House was an island of relaxation & good, fun times, where apes of all shapes & sizes could still watch hilariously funny American tv sitcoms, like Modern Family or 30 Rock, whilst enjoying the delights of a home cooked Gok Wan inspired Chinese feast followed by de-lish home made Cherry Bakewell. It was the perfect setting for an evening of light-hearted enjoyment.

However on this night, as the rain & wind crashed & swirled outside the 2 bedroom, first floor flat
(typical, get rid of the snow & we get a bleedin typhoon!), unthinkable crimes of a truly unspeakable nature were stirring within... we were missing the beginning of Death In Paradise as I was trying to perfectectly position my very obliging & patient models to get this doozy of a shot, ahem, slight break in tone & modesty there...

Holmes, Poirot & Marple will have to join forces in this unlikely, but still plausible, epic sleuthing adventure. Hold onto your deer stalker, waxed black moustache & knitting, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Best have Dr Watson on stand-by.

Todays blip was not a sign of madness, oh no dear blipper, it was my response to a challenge laid down by my Aunty Spishy, who's sleuth-some shot can be seen here, to see if we could snap any looky-likey fictional detectives. Our inspiration came from Miss Marple making a guest appearance recently.

This was my attempt today, & as you can see, some blip-tistic licence has been used once again as I'm not hopeful of my chances of bumping into any Sherlock or Poirot spits any time soon. Anyway, Ma, Ri & Jenny were happy to help (I think) thankfully & of course keen too to get stuck into the Bakewell Tart Jen promised she'd make, ala, you guessed it, Lorraine Pascal.

There was no mystery about this though. That tart was good. Case closed.
