Gently down the stream

Hawthorn, Crataegus monogyna

A hot and cloudless day.  Beautiful.  My walk took me round the back of St Catherine's Hill and onto the beginning of Deacon Hill (which is hopefully about to be taken over by the Wildlife Trust).

This is the back of St Catherine's.  There's a lot of hawthorn growing here, with blossoms currently turning the bushes white.  I thought it might work well for Steveng's WidWed challenge today (Enhanced perspective, foreground to background spacing).  I'm standing in the trough at the bottom of the hill, looking up to the ash tree on the ramparts.

Thanks so much, Steven, for hosting.

Hope life is progressing smoothly for you.  Stay well and, if you can, stay happy  xx
