Life's Little Moments

22nd and 1st - Hut!

Okay, a bit of a lame reference to American Football.  Actually, this is the 22nd species of yard bird to be blipped this year, and the first of this species this season - the lovely Baltimore Oriole.  There is nothing quite like looking out your window while chatting with blip buddy Sefferdog and spotting a splash of orange and black streak through the yard.  And don't you know that the 'dog was every bit as thrilled as I was!

Anyway, in spite of snow flurries (the other reference to 1st as this is the first time I've ever had snow and orioles at the same time), I bundled up and crouched on the deck.  Freezing my butt off, I might add.  As one does...

Also caught up with bestie Ellen for a nice long chat. She was unable to make our Quarantini video call last night so it was really nice to catch up.  Wonder how long it will be before we can see each other again?

Watched the governors as per usual.  New York has uncovered a disconcerting pattern of young children (over 70) being diagnosed with something like Kawasaki disease after also being diagnosed with Covid 19.  Experts are busy running all kinds of tests in conjunction with the CDC to determine if this is an anomaly or a pattern.

Won't be talking to my parents until Monday as they are taking advantage of glorious warm weather in Oregon to do some walking.  We will have a video call with MIL tomorrow for Mother's Day.

Stay safe.  Be kind.  Find something to be joyful about today.
