The Neighbourhood

When we first moved here some people asked us if it was weird living beside the cemetery. For both of us it wasn’t bad because, as we told people, at least they are quiet neighbours.

Indeed. And many times they are picturesque as well. When the fog rolls in, which is more often then one might think. When it’s gently snowing and the ground is wet. When I head out into the yard looking for a last chance to get a blip before I take a shot of a can of soup and call it art. Like tonight.

The shadows were long, the grass green and the sky was a light shade of blue. Nice. A better blip of some artwork than I could ever create.

It’s Saturday night, again.

I met with a bride and groom today to try to find a way for them to be able to wed this summer and have their immediate family present. There have been many tears already, and I feel for them.

I think we were able to find a possible solution for now. In the mean time, all are praying hard that the government allows for a larger crowd to gather. Even just a wee bit more would help a lot. They come from large families. :(

So yes, it is Saturday evening again. And where did that week race off to?

Another Saturday night and the neighbours are quiet. What more could one ask for?
