Life with Alice

Big Walk

It was another sunny day so me and mum went to the nature reserve, starting our walk from the first bird lake. Just past that lake, there are a few of these structures made from dead wood. They’re supposed to be homes for insects, but I use them for jumping and parkour. Real high up too I am on this one.

We walked over the small creek and through the woods where there are several marked Bronze Age and Iron Age graves and remnants of settlements. Mum says one day she’ll bring a map and try to learn more, but it sounds boring to me. We DID find one more of these orienteering controls, which was fun. Lots of wild cherry trees blossoming everywhere and a hundred different shades of green. Yay!

The only thing - no picnic. Mum said it was too windy for a picnic but she’ll consider it next time. Great!
