Deg patrwm

Deg patrwm ~ Ten patterns

————— ————— ————— ————— ————— ————— —————

Mae pum elfen symbolaidd ym Mwdhaeth Tibet: daear, dŵr, tân, awyr a gofod. Maen nhw'n ael eu cynrychioli gan bum lliw: melyn, gwyn, coch, gwyrdd a glas. Pan wehyddu holl elfennau maen nhw'n gallu bod yn gweld fel yn cynyddu neu'n gostwng. Gyda phum elfen, yn cynyddu ac yn gostwng, mae deg patrwm gyda ni. Rydw i'n ddiddorol bob tro pa mor wahanol maen nhw. Maen nhw'r un lliwiau ond mewn trefniad gwahanol, ond mae'r trefniant yn cael effaith ar eu hymddangosiad.

Tibetan Buddhism has five symbolic elements: earth, water, fire, air and space. They are represented by five colors: yellow, white, red, green and blue. When weaving all the elements they can be seen as increasing or decreasing. With five elements, increasing and decreasing, we have ten patterns. I am always fascinated by how different they are. They are the same colours but in a different arrangement, but the arrangement has an effect on their appearance.
