Marsh Fritillary

on a dandelion.

Today was another laid-back start. After breakfast and Brian giving himself  a haircut, we decided to go for a drive to Chambers Wood. We feared the worst as the parking area was packed, but once we found a spot and headed into the woods, we barely saw a soul as we walked off in search of butterflies.

These marsh Fritillaries were everywhere. I love their markings, they remind me of stained glass windows.   I love being at Chambers - it is so peaceful and the air feels pure. It's the perfect place to reboot your brain for the start of a new week.

On the way back we called into Lidl for a bit of shopping then home for a late lunch. Since then I have caught up on hobby stuff.
