Contrasts

A day of contrasts - bright and sunny one minute, dark and gloomy the next.

To Kelso this afternoon to fetch our 'click and collect' shopping order. And to drop off a shiny new mandolin with a friend. A strange ritual of the 'Coronavirus Age' - MrM put the instrument (in its case, of course) at the end of their driveway and retreated, and L came forward to take it and retreated. After which we stood at a safe distance and chatted with L & M while L inspected her new toy. MrM stopped the car on the way back home for a quick Blip of a threatening sky.

Spent the rest of the afternoon sorting the order in to three lots, and then delivering J and JC's shopping. Sat in the sun in Jacqui's garden for a while - good to catch up, though neither of us has done much. And later, a brief chat with JC. All at a distance, of course!
