Bewick's Wren

It was surprisingly busy in the backyard this afternoon.  Generally, between 1 pm-4 pm, the birds are taking shelter from the heat. I guess the good news for the birds was that the high was only 87°/31° and that the mini bar was fully stocked. When I got this Bewick's wren, I knew it would be my blip. But since I stopped shooting, almost all of my summer visitors have stopped by.  I even saw Zippy for the first time in a while.
I like this photo better in gallery view.

Watching a dozen species eating, drinking and getting along together in my small yard makes me wonder if birds are actually more evolved than humans.

In any event, don't stop believin'
