The irises are starting to flower

The irises by the wall have probably benefited from the extra warmth (and extra sun) whereas the ones I’m waiting for are not yet out.  These are the ones that will give me a soft green background if I use a telephoto lens.   I’ve put another single on in extra, from a different part of the garden as I prefer its more abstract qualities.

Busy day:
Merv has made a start on redoing the drystone wall at the edge of the front garden.  Part of it has been crumbling for sometime and I think the neighbours cat, which walks along the top, has finally brought two of the coping stones down.
Tai Chi on Zoom - our tutor needs help to do something about sound quality - I find it anything but relaxing!
Emma came to do our feet in full PPE gear - I meant to take her photo but then got caught up sorting out money and forgot (I think Ann has a photo). It was nice enough to sit outside.
Then too hot to do anything else outside in the afternoon.
Camera club Zoom meeting in the evening which I was facilitating.  The club has now paid for a subscription so hopefully from next week there will be less onus on me!
