Why across the bed?

Jonty does like to lie on our beds but why oh why does he always want to lie across the bed and not along the length of it.
It can't be that he like to use my leg as a pillow because he was there before I sat on my bed to look at my laptop!
He did curl up a bit at first but soon stretched out and put his head on my leg.
Groomer is open again, he's going on the 28th. Good job too, he doesn't like this hot weather. Sods law states, when Jonty gets his hair cut shorter the cold spells will begin again.
