Sgwarnog: In the Field

Prowl

My favourite beetle is back on the prowl, an occasional May visitor to this journal since 2015.  And a fine name too: Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorn. It's neighbour was looking a little more threatening, perched as it was behind a pair of Red-and-black Froghoppers (extra) - they hopped off.

It was a better day for beetles than for butterflies, although I did see a few Small White and a Speckled Wood, along with a Common Carpet moth (extra).
