Unutterable Delight

Not only is Nanpantan Reservoir re-opened to visitors, the great crested grebes have returned and built a nest - right by the outflow under the bridge. I do hope we don't get some heavy rain which would wash their four eggs away. I had my little x-t20 with me and that's what I used to take this photo. What luck!

I'd wakened just after 7 am, really early for lockdown me, and resolved to take Basil out for his walk, but what with one thing and another and going with Len to Hathern Nurseries for more compost I didn't manage it until this afternoon.

I also stopped on the way on Fairway Road where the afternoon light was glowing through a throng of purple flags. Wonderful sight. See extra.
