Rhododendron

The beautiful intricate and delicate structures of a rhododendron bloom in development before its pistil and stamens are exposed, leading naturally  to the irresistable attention of bees and other insects.
Extra: On the same bush a bloom with stamens and pistil visible.
(Both images taken with a 10x dioptre adapter attached using the 14mm setting of the 14-42mm Olympus lens.)
