Checking on the nest

I have a number of jackdaws nesting in the chimneys around my house and it's interesting to see their comings and goings. Here are two of the occupants going in and out of theirs.  They must be top of the jackdaw pecking order as they have their own roof to keep the rain out and good defences too.

F came along this afternoon and did some repairs to my kitchen door that I was having a problem closing and he stayed for tea when he'd finished it.
