Another triumph for the Pat’Patrouille

How long is it until term finishes? I only ask because I am already close to saturation level with the ubiquitous Paw Patrol. You may recall that, having had to do a summary of a movie, Ottawacker Jr. chose the wacky pups as his theme, and spent a week examining camera angles, Ryder’s pronouncements, and Marshall’s clumsiness from a stylistic perspective. Except Marshall isn’t Marshall in French: Marshall is Marcus. But I digress. You would too if you were unable to escape that theme tune.

As his next school exercise, Ottawacker Jr. then repeat the summary process, but this with a book. When I sent him to his seven-year-old's library, he returned bearing, unsurprisingly, a Paw Patrol book. Having masked somewhat unsuccessfully my delight at this (the words “no effing way” might have escaped my lips) and checked that it wasn’t the book of the same episode he had just written about (sadly it wasn’t) off we went, back into the land of the helpful pups.

Incidentally, they don’t live in Adventure Bay, these francophone pups, they live in La Grande Vallée. It doesn’t make the theme tune any less irritating.
