Unfurling.

A few household chores and a session of Pilates took care of the morning.

Tom had his first exam. When it happens in your home it is amazing how acutely aware you are of sound. People chatting in the street or dogs barking make you want to intervene and hush them. However apart from a stressful end trying to upload something from his iPhone the first one is now history.

This afternoon an enjoyable walk in Dalby. Just after we left Staindale lake I spotted this group of Bracken fronds. We climbed up through a steep valley known locally as a griff and then onto  Crosscliff view point before descending back through the woodland to the car.

Didn’t see many people on our walk but lots of people around the lake. Good to be able to find walks that do not entail too many detours. Just hope everyone takes their litter home unlike those at the weekend who left a trail of detritus behind. Not particularly in Dalby but at numerous beauty spots around the county. I was brought up with the mantra if you brought it then it should go home with you!
