When it rains........pigeon having a bath.

We have lots of wood pigeons around here. 
Two nest in the maple tree each year when the leaves are fully out. 
They mate for life, like swans. .  
I kind of like them for that, although they are such irritating birds at times.
Two years ago I watched one of them feed the young from its crop. 
The old nest is still there and lately our resident blackbird has taken to sitting in it while he warbles away!   
Must have an identity crisis. :-)
