Under The Birch

Temperatures topped out at 93°F today which is way too hot for me. Even in the evening it hadn't dropped more than a degree and heat haze was evident.

Photographing from under the shade of a birch tree, I let the background soften to give a warm dreamy hot summer impression.

Later I spied a doe feeding in the grass on the far bank. Trying to remain still, I watched her for a while hoping to catch something interesting. Sadly, the extra was my best capture.
