Summer-weight quilt

Thursday
We had a reasonable early start this morning. Laura had a dentist appointment mid-morning, and Roger and I went out for a bike ride, as we knew we had the chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. As we approached the 6 mile mark, the clouds were looking a little ominous, and we could hear the distant rumble of thunder, so our ride got cut short today, only 12 miles return for me. However, it seems that rain was going though just a bit north of us, since as we cycled back south, the skies cleared somewhat, and the sun reappeared. However, just before we arrived home, the rain began in earnest, and we had a couple of very heavy showers - so I was glad we hadn’t got caught out in that!
In the afternoon I did some more laundry, and changed our bed, taking off the electric blanket, and replacing the winter weight comforter, with our summer weight quilt. Dinner out on the patio again this evening, but it was a fairly quiet evening at the bird feeders.
Do scroll back and see yesterday’s hawk and squirrel shot!
