Storm Coming

Another hot day. But this evening some thunder rolled through, and I went out to look around. The main shows the view across the street, once you actually cross the street. As I stood there I heard a startling metallic screech, and a jet flew overhead on its way to land at Dulles Airport. There are definitely fewer planes these days, but I've heard those that fly are often quite crowded. The other extra shows my son D.'s elderberry tree, which is blooming profusely. It was blowing about and hard to capture (both extras are blurry), but I liked the look against the stormy sky.

I've been inspired by blips of elderberry cordial and syrup, so will try making some for the first time this weekend.
