86th Corona diary entry / phase 2

Morning swim as usual. Lovely calm and clear sea.

Some house chores.

Lots of sweating. It went to 30°C and it was sweltering.

During the afternoon it got cloudy and temps dropped a bit. After late lunch we took a walk around the sierra and walked to the Torre del Pep or Torre de les Escaletes. A watchtower facing south on our cape. On the very opposite side of the cape than where we live. Very close to the furthest point from our house.

According to Wikipedia its construction dates from the 16th century, although it seems that it was built on another tower of Andalusian origin. Built with masonry walls, its height is eight meters and it has stone corbels on its upper part. It has been declared a cultural Interest site by the Consell de la Generalitat Valenciana.

We had a lovely walk. It was still hot, but we got some drops of water which cooled us for a minute. I can't remember when I've last walked in summer rain.

We only walked 7km, as we took the car near the path to the lighthouse. Otherwise it would have been perhaps 16km walk. Not possible in this heat.

Tomorrow it might rain! Wohoo! And the temperatures might drop the following night down to 15°C. One more hot night ahead of us. Last night horrible: hot and lots of noise around. I feel like I didn't sleep at all before 2 and very poorly after that. I'm tired already. I really need some sleep
