Marsh Orchid

Its been rather a nice day weather wise, not too cold or breezy and the sun has been out a fair amount warming up the temperature.  I was out late morning with a friend visiting Goren Farm which has an extensive area of rich hay meadows.  No seed has been introduced and all the species occur naturally in the meadows.  The farm supports itself mainly by selling Wild flower seed harvested from the meadows.  This year due to such a prolonged period of dry weather the meadows aren't at their best but we enjoyed ourselves slowly walking through, taking photos of the flowers and the occasional butterfly when it stopped moving around so much.  The orchids on the farm apparently include the Marsh and spotted Orchids as well as the Early Purple and Heath ones.  This I think may be a Marsh Orchid, possibly Dactylorhiza praetermissa.  We also saw the Yellow Rattle flower, see extras.

It was a lovely afternoon we and another couple had the entire area to ourselves during our 2 hour slot.  Fortunately I took a different route back home as the sat nav had directed me along a very tortuous narrow road to get there.
