I met Rachel in the carpark at Strutt's North Mill in Belper, and we set off on our eight mile circular. Half a mile later at one of the last houses we saw a notice offering passersby a selection of garden furniture for free or a donation. We couldn't believe it, and asked the owner to save the bench seat for me and a low table for Rachel and we'd be back with some money after our walk. We couldn't believe our luck! Rachel's going to drop the seat round to me tomorrow as there wasn't room for it in my car.
