The coot and the fountain.

A while back when this coot built her nest right under one of the fountains on the Longwater I did not believe it would survive. The fountains are switched on intermittently throughout the day. As you can see , she is totally unfazed by all the water cascading down around her. I am not sure how the chicks will cope when they arrive.
That is Hampton Court Palace in the background.
