Puzzled

After the house martin nest was invaded and wrecked by the house sparrows three years ago (it fell to the ground after the sparrows had finished with it) we had an artificial nest put up.

These last two years there has been no sign of martins. But this year, they have turned up. The puzzle is - they are not using the artificial nest, but the small space above it. And they are doing something with mud (with a lot of splattering).. But it looks far too small for a nest space. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.

I was pleased to “capture” the martin leaving its “shelf” in this shot.

The extra - I am “ growing” two avocado seeds, one of which has developed a little root. It looks a little embarrassing at present.
