Back in the park

I took an early-morning notion to return to Santry Demesne which I only discovered a few days ago. A return to dry, bright weather led me to expect there'd be crowds there later on. I'm glad I got my act together, because rain arrived in the afternoon. I spent a good two hours wandering around, exploring parts of the park I missed the last time. My main mission was to find the lake, which I managed eventually. It wasn't worth the effort. There was one déjà vu moment when I found myself at the edge of the park and realised I was back at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where the Don't Tell The Bride wedding ceremony and reception took place.

A number of people scattered around were pulling themselves into strange positions, there were lots of family groups with young children and equally lots of people of all shapes and sizes walking and playing with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Most of all, though, was the park itself. The wilded areas near the stream were wonderful, and my first impressions of the standard of maintenance and of what a wonderful amenity it is were reinforced.
