Life through the lens...

By helicopter!

No on foot!

Surprising what you find on top of a very windy( gale force!) moor!
Not sure who had left it there. No one in sight, and I certainly wouldn't like to have taken off in that gale. Looked a bit flimsy!

We walked from Ilkley Lido (not a day for the open air swimming pool!) to Nessfield, and over Middleton Moor, ( which is where we found this helicopter)
and back through Middleton Woods. The bluebell leaves are just coming through, and we saw quite a lot of snowdrops.
A bit mizzley when we set off , but soon stopped and got warmer, but by the time we reached the top of the moor a gale was blowing, and it was difficult to stay up right!
We found some huge piles of logs to shelter behind while we had our lunch. Then battled with the wind again, until we started coming down the other side, and the wind eased off.
A good job this helecopter was tied down very well, or else I think it would have taken off on it's own!

In spite of the wind and mud we did enjoy the walk. It was nice to get out again, after all the snow, and meet up with everyone.
