Elder "Black Lace" (Sambucus niger")

Back to the Lodge to finish the grass we didn't get when rain stopped play yesterday.  Clickychick raked up the loose grass from the strimming while I ran the mower over everywhere to level and shorten the grass.

I tried to get a shot of my little insect disposer, but they didn't like the idea of a paparazzo, so no Robin shots!  Back in February I blipped the buds bursting on the cut leaved black Elder.   Now the flowers are bursting from the buds and are a delicate shade of pink.  One day I will try making Elderflower "champagne" from them just to see if they make it pink.
