Splash of colour

A bit of a grey day so I opted to track down some colour in the garden.  There's not a lot left now :(  Still, these hardy wee things seem to spring some blooms on and off for much of the year so were today my colour saviours.

The weather turned pretty foul this evening.  It's been windy most of the day but this evening, seemingly from out of nowhere, a massive wind hit home.  It only lasted about 30 or 40 seconds but during that time I was seriously concerned the kitchen window was going to be blown in it rattled and shook sooooo much.  After it all passed I went outside to check on things (and to encourage Minnie to come in) and found the garden umbrella had been blown over despite being secured in a heavy cast iron base.  I guess that may have been what all the noise was.

In COVID news, we've had another case today.  A man arriving from Pakistan via Doha and Melbourne.  Good to see the safety nets catching what they were put in place to do :)
