Nicky and her Nikon

The colour purple

The usual morning walk in the woods with Xena, followed by meeting Gavin and the boys at the local coffee shop to get coffees. Gavin could not resist getting a mini banana loaf too.

The weather has been unsettled again today, it was cool and cloudy this morning but is now warm and sunny. Next week I see we are forecast to reach temperatures of 31C.

Gavin has booked for the family to go to the doctor tomorrow for blood tests for the C-19 antibody test tomorrow - I don't really see the point in getting the test because even if you are positive, you still can pass on the virus if you touch something and then touch someone else without washing your hands first, so you still have to be careful and keep washing your hands. He wants to know either way before going back to work and the boys going back to London/Cambridge. My odds are on Tommy as being the only one getting a positive result as he seemed to be sick the entire term at university before lockdown, although most people testing positive don't ever display any symptoms.

Gavin's mother has been taken to hospital today as she is struggling to breathe. It seems the UTI and being so ill has put extra pressure on her heart, which is to be expected when you are in the late stages of heart disease. The doctor is considering putting her on a ventilator but has not done so yet, we wait to hear.

Some purple beauty today from the garden - geraniums and lavender for Flower Friday.

Gavin and his brother have just had a long conference call with the doctor, their mother cannot go on a ventilator as she has a living will so cannot be induced into a coma. The doctor has also just found out that he has tested positive for Covid-19, but they still think her problem is due to her heart condition.
