Food Is King

A phrase often used by Pat as she prepares and cooks food.

When food is served to you it is good manners to start eating. Waiting till everyone else is served is not. This is an influence from the Portuguese side of Pat’s ancestors.

Today’s Blipfoto features fresh strawberries grown just across the road. Served with muesli, honey, Icelandic style yoghurt made in Scotland.

It is the dessert course of today’s breakfast, actually prepared by your’s truly.

Afterwards we were entertained by a video of our great-nephew Cash tackling his first Corn on the Cob at 18 months old.  He certainly enjoyed it, under the California sun.

Received an email from Wendy P, our area manager of the NTS advising that Hill of Tarvit will not open to visitors this year.

I am very pleased we celebrated Beatrice Sharp’s Birthday on 29th February. We opened the House out of season to celebrate.

Sad in one way, but eminently sensible in others.

It is sunny today, so we will have lunch in the garden, after I have completed mowing the grass.

I have also been asked if I can prepare a talk/presentation to give to Markinch History Club which is meeting in Virtual form.

Apparently I can broadcast it via StreamYard.com which is interesting. I am always interested in learning another skill.
