Tiny Tuesday!

This doesn’t fit the theme but these tiny buildings painted on the wall of Station Road, Oakworth, seen on Part 2 of our Railway Children walk this morning were definitely meant fir someone or some thing tiny.
Voles maybe as the names of the various ‘home’ seem to indicate so. Couldn’t resist making them my blip.

We walked from Haworth above the River Worth and the KWVR ( railway) to Oakworth where much of the original Railway Children was filmed. I must have walked some of this before as the route is also part of the Worth Way. We could tell we were above Vale Mills as all the cars were hooting at ‘HOOT’ corner which is well known locally (see extra)
It was over cast again but very warm

Passing these lovely fun paintings we came to Oakworth Station, sadly unopened but looking smart as always, and the station master, Perks, house - again in the extra.

The return route took us past the aforesaid ‘HOOT’ corner and along Bridgehouse Beck, the Beck we followed at the start of the walk last week, to Haworth via Ebor Lane.
Not a very long walk but interesting, like crossing the common land to start with where five of the seven cows present were all stood on the path! Some lovely old stone houses in this area admire too. Didn’t stop for coffee today.

At lunch, Boris’s updates on the news had barely finished when my hairdresser rang! Got my appointment for 11th July. I have spoken to her a couple of weeks ago and she’s not reopening in the salon yet as she has two children who will not,be,back in school  till September so she is doing her original Bingley customers at home on a Saturday. Great!
Even better we can now officially have our Bristol family to visit!
Eda would love these little houses!

Stay safe everyone.
