Fish supper and Foxy Loxy

It feels like I have lived two days today. The first was the usual run of online meetings, email, meeting prep, and writing. The second was like a holiday.

At about 17:40 Paddy and Caitlin arrived at our house on their bikes. The four of us took the cycle paths west through Edinburgh and then northwards to the Dalmeny estate. Our destination was a small beach on the Forth of Firth. Here we settled on the sand for a wonderful picnic under blue skies and sunshine. This cormorant provided excellent entertainment as it enjoyed its own supper. On the way home we spotted a fox from the cycle path. He features in my two extras. What a wonderful evening of company and wildlife!

Exercise today: 20 miles of tandem cycling.
