Strange flower

The string-of-hearts plant is still growing at a rate of knots, and now has a couple of flowers. They're small, the upper hairy part is <5mm high, and if they were much larger they'd look quite sinister! Their scent attracts small flies in to the flower, and the insects eventually depart with pollen (more information here).

A scorcher of a day, by far the hottest of the year so far. Just right for a socially distanced yoga session in Margaret's garden this evening - just three of us. Note to self: acquire some insect repellant before next time!
