Emergency Covid barber

A very social day with Gill walking over from the next village to have a chat in the garden. She brought her own water - we are not having each other’s coffee yet. We exchanged books and had a fun chat. She’s a friend I can laugh and be silly with.

Just as she left Joan called on FaceTime. She is shielding and lives along so talked for 45 minutes. She said she always enjoyed our political discussions and asked what I thought about the sacking of R L-B then proceeded to explain her take on it all before I could open my mouth. . I know she needs to talk, being on her own, but I’m
inclined want to keep in touch by email in future!

After lunch we went to see Whitley Bay daughter for the first time since early March. We took advantage of the sunshine to sit at a distance in the garden. She and Mr C put on masks and she gave him a short back and sides. Then we chatted with the boys when James got back from school. They thanked me for the wetsuits - they’d been in the North Sea for 1.5 hours last night. They borrowed a friend’s dad’s body board and loved it so we are going to get them child size ones.

Daughter ordered fish and chips - our first this year - on-line then pedalled off to pick it up. She is now a barber and a deliveroo woman.

We are due for a change in the weather so we might not need to water the garden tonight.
